Formal/Stylish Outerwear. It protects the kimono from dust and adds a layer of elegance to the overall outfit. Sleeve Construction Features open slits called Miyatsuguchi (at the ribs) and Furi (behind the sleeve) to accommodate the obi. Length Knee-length is modern. A “Nagahaori” (long haori) creates a sophisticated, vertical silhouette. The collar is folded outward, which beautifully frames the neck and shows the inner kimono.
