Sakaeya kimono shop Sakaeya goods

Sakeya Kimono Shop is family-run and we have been in the business of selling quality custom-made Kimonos for 47 years. Several years ago we started selling vintage and second-hand kimonos.

At Sakeya's Kimono Shop we carry kimonos for every occasion, and we are sure we can help you find a kimono to suite your needs. Our kimonos vary in price, with the cheapest starting at 500 yen! We also have hand made, brand new and order-made kimonos. These kimonos are around 100milion yen.

To make sending Kimonos easier, we have a postal scale, so if you would like to mail your kimono we can check the cost in our shop.

One gift giving idea is the Tabi. Tabi’s are great presents for friends who are living abroad. Because Tabi’s are lightweight and small you or Sakaeya Kimono Shop can airmail it internationally cheaply.

We believe you can enjoy kimonos without rulers!

Even if you don't know how to tie an Obi and/or wear a Kimono you can still enjoy them in untraditional ways. We encourage you to make your own original Kimono style.
Traditionally, there are lots of rules about how a Kimono can be worn, but we at Sakaeya don’t believe these rules are necessary.
Look at this photo below; you will see one our customers wearing her Kimono in her own unique style.
